To provide an adapter for a watt-hour meter, permitting easy work for stopping power transmission without stopping power supply to houses during repairing or exchanging the watt-hour meter.
The adapter comprises plural pairs of terminal fittings 1 having the upper ends provided with watt-hour meter connections 1a to be connected to output/input terminals 9 of the watt-hour meter A and the lower ends provided with external line connections 1b, a case 2 for housing these terminal fittings 1, a plurality of connectors 3 provided in the case 2 for short-circuiting and non-short-circuiting both the like-pole terminal fittings, and moving means 4 for moving the connectors 3 to a short circuit position and to a non-short circuit position, wherein an operation part 5 is provided for operating the moving means 4.
