Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter that enables various kinds of optical systems to appropriately function in an interchangeable-lens camera system.SOLUTION: An adapter comprises an adapter control unit capable of communicating with a camera body and capable of communicating with an interchangeable lens provided with a focus adjustment mechanism including a focus lens that performs focus adjustment. The adapter control unit receives a first control order generated in the camera body according to the detection result of a focus detection unit from the camera body, converts the first control order into a second control order, and transmits the second control order to the interchangeable lens. First position information of the focus lens according to movement information of the focus lens supplied from the interchangeable lens is not transmitted to the camera body.
