Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily update antenna weight in the adaptive array antenna of an MMSE system.
SOLUTION: In an averaging unit 80, received known signals X(i) are inputted repeatedly from antenna elements 10,..., 1M, a plurality of the received known signals are averaged, an averaged signal is obtained, and an averaged signal value is outputted; and an inner product unit 50 obtains the inner product signal of the averaged signal value and antenna weight. An adder 60A obtains an error between a reference signal and the inner product signal. An MMSE- computing element 70A updates antenna weight W, so that the error becomes small. Thus, the averaging unit 80 obtains the averaged signal value at every timing at a plurality of timings within one period of the averaged signal, and consequently, antenna weight is updated at every averaged signal value by the element 70A.
