Title:
ADAPTIVE CONTROL MAN-ASSISTING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3343980
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an adaptive control man-assisting system capable of controlling movement of a suspended work station and the like.
CONSTITUTION: A support structure usually mounted on a chassis 15 has an extensible boom 15 and a work station 17 at the end of the boom 15. A directing member pivots in accordance with operator movements and the pivotal movement is resolved along three axes being normal to one another and at any point in time having a fixed but readily alterable relationship with the boom 15. Resolving of the movement provides signals for moving the boom 15 so as to move the work station 17 to any desired location and orientation in response to operator movements. The position of the work station 17 and other selected functional system are monitored and their signals are continuously processed to provide output adapted with respect to situation variables to produce immediate and accurate operational responses of the work station 17 to match operator requirements.
