Abstract:
To solve the problem that an adaptive equalizer is large in size.SOLUTION: An adaptive equalizer comprises: a convolutional integration part which calculates an equalization signal from an input signal and tap coefficients by tap output points and outputs it; an error calculation part which calculates and outputs an error signal as a difference between the equalization signal and a reference signal; a free-run counter; an error shift selection part which delays the error signal by a predetermined delay time in sequence, and selects and outputs an error signal having a delay quantity corresponding to a count value of the free-run counter; a delay matching part which delays an input signal of a tap output point having a maximum delay quantity by a predetermined quantity and outputs it; a correlation multiplication part which calculates a correlation value from the error signal output from the error shift selection part and the input signal output from the delay matching part and outputs it; and an integration part which integrates the correlation value output from the correlation multiplication part at each timing corresponding to the count value to generate a tap coefficient for each tap output point, and then outputs it to the convolutional integration part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
