To provide an addition-type norbornene-based resin excellent in adhesion to an inorganic base material, dielectric characteristics, heat resistance and moldability, a molding containing the resin, a composite member having the molding, etc.
The addition-type norbornene-based resin is obtained by bulk polymerization of a reaction liquid containing a norbornene-based monomer, a group 10 transition metal catalyst and a silane compound represented by formula (1), and has a silicon atom content of 0.01-2.0 mass% and a number-average molecular weight of 50,000 to 10 million. In the formula, R1 is a 2C-30C hydrocarbon group having a terminal olefin; R2 is at least one group selected from the group consisting of 1C-10C alkoxy, alkyloyloxy or aryloyloxy; R3 is at least one group selected from the group consisting of 1C-30C alkyl, aryl and aralkyl; p is an integer of 1-3, q is an integer of 1-3, and r is an integer of 0-2, provided that p+q+r=4.
