PURPOSE: To record a display symbol in a readable place at the time of filing, etc. by copying the display symbol in a prescribed place of a copying paper.

CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display element 11 is positioned at the lower side of the left side of an original placing plate 1 seen as a plane. Also, an original P' of A4 size is placed on the original placing plate 1 with said original turned over. The original P' of A4 size is placed so that its longitudinal direction becomes vertical to a moving direction (direction as indicated with an arrow R) of a moving part, and how to place it is indicated by a mark on the original placing plate 1. When a copying operation is executed, an additional symbol displayed by the liquid crystal display element 11 is copied on one place of the end side in the longitudinal direction of a copying paper.
