PURPOSE: To provide a composition capable being used as a multifunctional additive for fuels used in internal combustion engines, especially, fuels used in controlled ignition type engines.
CONSTITUTION: There is provided an additive composition for fuels used in engines, containing at least one component (K), containing at least one component (L) and containing at least one component (M), wherein (K) comprises an alkoxylated imidazo-oxazole of the formula (wherein R1 is H or a 1-40C hydrocarbon group; R2 is H or a 1-12C hydrocarbon group; A, B, and C are each a 2-6C hydrocarbon group; n is 1-50; and m and p are each 0 or 1-25, provided that the sum of n, m and p is 1-50), (L) is a detergent/dispersant, and (M) is a mineral or synthetic oil or a polyglycol soluble in fuels used in engines.
