Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an additive composition having excellent oxidation stability and cleaning properties and reduced carbonizability in an industrially advantageous manner.
CONSTITUTION: The production process thereof comprises effecting the nucleus alkylation of an aromatic carboxylic acid ester by using an olefin, reacting the obtained nucleus-alkylated aromatic carboxylic acid ester with at least one member selected from among an oxide of a bivalent metal, its hydroxide and its alcoholate and carbon dioxide, and removing water and/or alcohols from the reaction mixture.
