Abstract:
To provide a method of reducing the abrasion of a lubricated surface and between metallic parts.
The lubricated surface has a base oil having lubrication viscosity and a specified amount of a hydrocarbon-soluble titanium compound which exhibits the effect of reducing surface abrasion, and its effect is superior to that obtainable using a lubricating oil composition which does not contain the hydrocarbon-soluble titanium compound.
