Abstract:

To provide a polymer having good properties as an additive for increasing the production of a crude oil, and associating at a prescribed temperature.

The additive for increasing the production of the crude oil comprises the water-soluble polymer (AO) having 7,000,000-50,000,000 weight average molecular weight, and has characteristics of causing association of the polymer in a 0.1 wt.% aqueous solution of the AO at a temperature not lower than the prescribed temperature (the transition temperature).
