Abstract:
To provide an additive for lubricants and a lubricant for turbine applications in which a high filterability as well as rust and water separation performances in the presence of water are maintained.SOLUTION: The additive package comprises: a rust-preventing mixture including an imidazoline derivative of an alkenyl succinic acid or anhydride combined with additives selected from a partial ester of a polyhydric alcohol, an acyl sarcosine compound, and mixtures thereof; and a corrosion inhibiting additive selected from at least a substituted benzotriazole, in which a weight ratio of imidazoline provided by the rust-preventing mixture to triazole provided by the corrosion inhibitor is about 1:1 to about 2:1, and a ratio of at least one or more of the imidazoline derivatives in the additive package is 10 wt.% or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
