An addressable loudspeaker system comprises plural addressable loudspeakers in a predetermined area, a central processor having a computer memory to store binary address information identifying each addressable loudspeaker and corresponding position in the area, a loudspeaker power unit, which unit is connected to the processor and the plural loudspeakers, having an addressable switch to be enabled or disabled by the processor and an intelligent workstation to indicate the specified loudspeaker to be supplied power for broadcasting of audible massages to the corresponding positions.
