Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an energy-saving reaction apparatus extremely easy in operation and culturing and utilizing adherent photosynthetic bacteria.
CONSTITUTION: In a reaction apparatus having light diffusing members 3 and carriers 4 having photosynthetic bacteria bonded to the surfaces thereof to culture the same, the light diffusing members 3 and the carriers 4 are alternately arranged in a gaseous phase and moisture and/or nutrient supply means 6 are provided to the carriers 4. Each of the moisture and/or nutrient supply means 6 is composed of a sprinkler or an atomizer or a means supplying a liquid to each of the carriers or biological matter by penetration or absorption.
