Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the crack or floating of a fancy veneer at the position of the oblique surface of a board by adhering the fancy veneer without wrinkle so as to adhere it to the board.
CONSTITUTION: A method for adhering a fancy veneer 2 to the surface of a board 1 comprises the step of adhering the fancy veneer 2 to the surface of the board having oblique surfaces 3 at the end of the periphery of the surface and formed with a ridge 3a between adjacent surfaces 3. The fancy veneer 2 formed substantially in the same size as that of the surface of the board 1 is superposed on the surface of the board 1 through adhesive. The board 1 and the fancy veneer 2 are so set between a pressure mold 5 in which an elastic sheet 4 is extended and a suction mold 6 having sucking means that the fancy veneer 2 is disposed at the side of the sheet 4 and the board 1 is disposed at the side of the mold 6, and a protective sheet 7 having higher hardness than that of the sheet 4 is interposed between the fancy veneer 2 and the sheet 4. The sheet 7 is pressurized along the surface of the board 1 by the sheet 4 to thereby adhere the fancy veneer 2 to the surface of the board 1.
