Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent adhesive from protruding from both end parts of a rear surface in a vertical direction in applying the adhesive on the rear surface of a paper bundle with an application roller.SOLUTION: An application roller 47 includes a base part 101 rotating around a rotation shaft 48, and an application part 102 protruding from an outer circumference surface of the base part. An outer circumference surface of the application part is an application surface 100. End edges 103a, b of the application part in a direction parallel to the rotation shaft continue spirally in a rotation direction, and an application length in an axial direction of the application surface differs depending on a phase of the roller. The phase of the application roller is set to apply so that the application surface having the application length longer than a length of a rear surface of a paper bundle comes in a straight above position where the application surface is in contact with the paper bundle.
