To provide an adhesive coating method which enables the sure application of an adhesive on the concavity of a substrate even if the substrate has the concavity like a veneer with a bad naked surface and prevents the amount to be applied over the whole of the substrate from becoming excessive.
The adhesive coating method includes the step of manufacturing plywood, LVL (laminated veneer lumber) or LVB (laminated veneer boards) by applying the adhesive by a coating roll 3 that rotates to the same direction as the advance direction of the substrate as a second application means after applying the adhesive on the veneer 1 for preparing the plywood, LVL or LVB with an amount so that the adhesive can reach the concavity of the substrate by means of a first application means 2 of an overflow coater, roll coater and the like.
