Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a preparation, based on a readily available, inexpensive and nontoxic component, capable of providing firm and permanent bonds of a dental hard material to a filler material and useful as an adhesive component in restoring the dental hard material. CONSTITUTION: This preparation is obtained by formulating (A) 10-90wt.% hydroxyalkyl (meth)acrylate represented by formula I (R<1> is H or CH3 ; R<2> is a 1-6C bivalent alkyl), especially 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate with (B) 1-50wt.% N-hydroxyalkylcarboxamide represented by formula II (R<3> is H or a 1-3C monovalent alkyl; R<4> is H or CH3 ; R<5> is a 2-6C bivalent hydrocarbon group), especially N-3-hydroxypropylpropionamide and further suitably adding (C) 0.01-2.0wt.% initiator and/or 0.01-4.0wt.% coactivator, (D) 5-90wt.% solvent and/or (E) 0.3-80wt.% (meth)acrylic ester capable of forming cross-linking bonds thereto.
