Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chloroprene latex which has a controlled pH and is usable over a long period of time while maintaining latex stability in storage, and provide use of an adhesive composition containing the same.SOLUTION: A chloroprene latex is characterized by containing an acid of which a minus common logarithmic value (pKa) of acid dissociation constant (Ka) of its water solution at 25°C is 7 or lower, an emulsifier which is formed of a carboxylic alkali metal salt, and 1.0-2.0 pts.wt. of a stabilizer which is formed of a sulfonate alkali metal salt with respect to 100 pts.wt. of chloroprene, and having a pH 9.0-12.0 at 25°C. An adhesive composition is characterized by containing the chloroprene latex.
