PURPOSE: To obtain an adhesive composition useful for bonding fluoropolymers with each other, a fluoropolymer with a metal or a fluoropolymer with another polymer by mixing a specified aromatic vinyl benzyl ether compound with a specified maleimide compound in a specified ratio.
CONSTITUTION: The adhesive composition is prepared by mixing 100 pts.wt. aromatic vinyl benzyl ether compound having at least one vinyl benzyl ether group (e.g. a compound obtained by reacting bisphenol A with chloromethylstyrene) with 1-200 pts.wt. maleimide compound having at least one maleimido group in the molecule (e.g. N,N'-diphenylmethanebismaleimide), desirably mixture thereof with an allyl compound having at least one allyl group in the molecule (e.g. triallyl cyanurate).
