Abstract:
To provide an adhesive composition for wet friction material having excellent adhesive strength and excellent workability and coatability.SOLUTION: An adhesive composition for wet friction material has a resol type phenol resin (excluding a resol type phenol resin containing a dimethylphenol-derived structural unit), polyvinyl butyral, and polyvalent phenol. In the adhesive composition for wet friction material, the polyvalent phenol is at least one selected from dihydroxy benzene, trihydroxy benzene, resorcinol, catechol, and pyrogallol. In the adhesive composition for wet friction material, the content of the polyvalent phenol is 0.5 mass% or more and 20 mass% or less relative to the total solid content of the composition.SELECTED DRAWING: None
