Title:
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3914538
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive composition that shows excellent adhesion property to lumber not only of broadleaf tree but also of needleleaf tree causing adhesion trouble, has reduced smell and minimized environmental contamination, does not diffuse formaldehyde because the composition is an aqueous emulsion but includes no organic solvent, and has excellent workability, long-term adhesive properties, adhesion properties, resistance to water and resistance to boiling water.
SOLUTION: This adhesive composition is produced by adding (D) a compound bearing an isocyanate group to a resin composition comprising (A) an acetoacetyl group-bearing synthetic resin emulsion prepared by emulsion polymerization of a radical-polymerizable unsaturated monomer and an acetoacetyl group-bearing radical-polymerizable monomer in the presence of polysaccharide as a protective colloid, (B) a polyvinyl ester emulsion and (C) a vinyl ester emulsion.
