Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adhesive for label having good adhesiveness, excellent waterproofness, and excellent alkali detergency.SOLUTION: There is provided an adhesive for label containing vinyl alcohol-based copolymer, in which the vinyl alcohol-based copolymer includes a structural unit (1) comprising lactone rings in a main chain of the copolymer and a structural unit (2) comprising carboxylic acid or salt thereof in the side chain of the copolymer and the total of the structural unit (1) and the structural unit (2) is 0.2 to 20 mol% based on the total monomer units contained in the adhesive and the mole ratio of the structural unit (1) to the structural unit (2) is 2 or more. The adhesive for label further comprises 0.01 to 3 mol% of a structural unit (3) comprising silyl groups based on the total monomer units.SELECTED DRAWING: None
