Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an adhesive polyurethane compsn. which is not affected by the atmospheric temp. and the staining of an adhered by compounding a hydroxy-telechelic polybutadiene, tolylene diisocyanate, isophorone diisocyanate, and a catalyst (e.g. a tert. amine).
CONSTITUTION: The objective adhesive thermopolastic polyurethane compsn. is obtd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. hydroxy-telechelic polybutadiene with tolylene diisocyanate and isophorone diisocyanate in an equivalent ratio of NCO/OH or 0.90-1.30 and in an equivalent ratio of tolylene diisocyanate to isophorone diisocyanate of 0.1-2 and further with 0.1-1 wt.% tert. amine or 0.01-0.1 wt.% org. salt or metal salt (e.g. a tin salt) as the catalyst.
