Abstract:
To provide an adhesive tape having low specific density as well as good noise control, good wear resistance and optimum workability in covering of a cable.
The adhesive tape for covering an elongated product, particularly a cable harness, has a support of base fleece having a weight basis of 30-120 g/m2 provided with an adhesive layer on at least one surface, wherein the support comprises at least one preliminarily reinforced fleece, particularly spun fleece, melt-blown fleece or mechanically reinforced staple fiber fleece stitched overall with many threads. The density of the threads is less than 22 per 25 mm width of the holder, preferably 9-20 per 25 mm width.
