Abstract:

To prepare an adhesive tape that comprises a substrate provided with unpenetrating pores at specific intervals and pitches without diminishing its adhesive properties and has sufficient manual tearability, and clean torn faces when torn by hand, and whose substrate is hard to break when the tape is peeled off after being applied once.

This adhesive tape comprises a porous plastic-film substrate provided with unpenetrating pores at intervals of 20 pores/cm in lateral direction and at pitches of 1mm or more in the longitudinal direction of the tape, and an adhesive layer formed on the substrate. The unpenetrating pores have average opening diameter of 0.5-100μm and depth of 10-90% of the substrate thickness, the preferable substrate is a polypropylene film or the like, and the preferable adhesive to be used is a rubber-based adhesive, etc.
