PURPOSE: To prepare adhesives which contain film forming materials of organic high polymers, aromatic polynitroso compounds, specified activity supplementing agents and adhesion enhancing additives as necessary and are universally usable to unite rubbers and (non)metal substrates under a vulcanizing condition.
CONSTITUTION: This aqueous dispersion type adhesive contains film forming materials of organic high polymers (example; chlorosulfonized polyethylene, etc.), aromatic polynitroso compounds (example; p-dinitrosodenzene, etc.), and activity supplementing agents comprising co-reactive compounds selected from tri-allylisocyanulate, di-allylacrylamide, tetra-allyltelephthalamide, phenylendismaleic-imide, ethylen glycoldimethacrylate, etc., and also containing, as necessary, normal adhesion enhancing additives (example; carbon black, silica, etc.), fillers and processing auxiliaries. The adhesive is universally usable to unite various rubbers and metal or non-metal substrates under a vulcanizing condition, has performance being equal to those of known solvent type adhesives and is the aqueous type adhesive of which problems relating to their application technology is solved.
