Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting mechanism of a double-hung window capable of adjusting spring force of a spring 16 after 'shojis' 2 and 3 and a spiral balancer 13 are incorporated into a frame body 1.
SOLUTION: Contact guide grooves 4 and 5 of an inside 'shoji' 2 and an outside 'shoji' 3 are provided to the inside of a frame body 1 consisting of head and sill 1a and 1b and both right and left stiles 1c, for the double-hung window arranging the inside 'shoji' 2 and outside 'shoji' 3 respectively up and down in a contactable manner, the spiral balancer 13 for holding rising and falling positions of the inside 'shoji' 2 and outside 'shoji' 3 is placed to the insides of the contact guide grooves 4 and 5 of the stiles 1c, an adjuster 19 for adjusting the spring force of the inside spring 16 is provided to the upper end of the spiral balancer 13, a pivot shoe 20 is mounted to the lower end, the adjuster 19 is placed to the upper ends of the contact guide grooves 4 and 5 so as to make it possible to control the adjustment from the outside, and pivot shafts 36 on both sides of the lower ends of the inside 'shoji' 2 and outside 'shoji' 3 are bored on the pivot shoe 20.
