Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve power loss occurred at a contact surface between an adjusting shim and a cam.
CONSTITUTION: An adjusting shim is made of metal material and has roughness in its surface being contact with a cam, which is not more than 0.2μm in ten point mean roughness. Vickers hardness of the contact surface may preferably be not less than l000kgf/mm2.
