To solve problems in a conventional hinge for angle adjustment used for stands supporting a TV, a PC display, and a measuring instrument display wherein the number of parts is large and their weight is heavy since different assemblies are used for horizontal rotation and longitudinal inclination, particularly inconvenient for carrying for thin TV, and a large force is required for angle adjustment since a friction torque is constant.
This hinge comprises a mobile body 2 for installing display device having a spherical surface or R surface part and an elongated hole, pressure receiving bodies 1 of spherical surface holding the mobile body, and a pressing body 3 of R surface. The hinge is formed to have such a characteristic that the friction torque varies according to a tilt angle, and to perform the functions of the horizontal rotation and longitudinal inclination by one assembly. Thus, the stand can be reduced in weight and its operating force can be reduced. Also, by using a spherical part even in an electric stand, both vertical and horizontal adjustment functions can be provided by one assembly, and the size of the stand can be reduced.
