Abstract:
To provide a medicine used for prophylaxis and/or treatment of xerostomia, rapidly exhibiting excellent sialogogic effects and reducing or avoiding adverse effects on digestive organs.
A medicine is used for, e.g. prophylaxis and/or treatment of the xerostomia. The medicine in the form of administration to the mucous membrane in the oral cavity comprises a spirooxathiolane-quinuclidine derivative represented by general formula (I) (wherein, R1 and R2 may each be the same or different and are each independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, a cyclopentyl group, a cyclohexyl group, a monoaryl-substituted or a diaryl-substituted methylol group or an aryl-substituted alkyl group) or an acid addition salt thereof as an active ingredient.
