Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an admixture for high strength concrete capable of preventing the expansion or the strength degradation of a high strength concrete without upgrading the specification of a silica fume to be blended by using a specific metallic salt.
SOLUTION: The admixture for high strength concrete is one for blending in the high strength concrete containing the silica fume and contains the nitrate, nitrite, silicate, phosphate of an alkali metal or these mixture as an available component. As the alkali metal, lithium is particularly preferably and the nitrate or the nitrite is preferable. As the form of the admixture, the available component may be mixed in a concrete composition or diluted in a solvent such as water to be liquidified. The mixing ratio of the admixture is preferably 0.005-5 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. cement in the concrete composition expressed in terms of the available component.
