Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and adsorbent capable of efficiently adsorbing components to be adsorbed over a long term in the case of treating aldehydes as the components to be adsorbed, and to provide a small-scale adsorbed and other articles using the adsorbent, capable of easily removing the components to be adsorbed and an adsorption method.
SOLUTION: This adsorbent comprises zeolite and its objective components to be adsorbed are aldehydes. The ion species of the zeolite is an NH4 type and its crystal structure type is a ZSM-5 type or ferrierite. The mole ratio of SiO2/Al2O3 of the zeolite is 30-190. A qaternary ammonium salt that reacts with the aldehydes to adsorb them is carried on the zeolite. When the objective component to be adsorbed is formaldehyde, the adsorbent comprises the zeolite of which the ion species is the NH4 type.
