Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe operation means by preventing the combustion of active carbon, in a method of adsorbing and removing harmful substances in an exhaust gas by blowing the active carbon thereinto.
SOLUTION: An adsorbent for harmful substances in an exhaust gas comprises a mixture of the active carbon and high temperature conductor. The active carbon has an average particle diameter of 5-150 μm and a particle density of 0.5-1.7 g/ml and the high temperature conductor has a heat conductivity higher than that of the active carbon, an average particle diameter of 5-5,000 μm and a particle density of 0.1-9 g/ml. The method of removing the harmful substances in the exhaust gas using the adsorbent is also disclosed. The problem to be solved is solved by the adsorbent for harmful substances and the method of removing the harmful substances.
