Abstract:
To provide a metal adsorbent capable of selectively recovering useful metal by effectively making use of biomass waste.
The metal adsorbent includes an acetylated chitosan derivative comprised of acetylated chitosan, a graft chain formed on a hydroxy group of a constituent of the acetylated chitosan by carrying out graft polymerization of a monomer comprising a radically polymerizable double bond, and a metal coordinating functional group introduced into a side chain of the graft chain.
