To provide a new adsorbent for a noble metal capable of selectively adsorbing the noble metal and a method for adsorbing a noble metal.
A fish spawn membrane separated from a fish spawn of codfish or the like is dried to obtain a powdery adsorbent. The adsorbent having various shapes is obtained by dissolving the fish spawn membrane in a cuprammonium solution.
