PURPOSE: To increase the regeneration efficiency of an adsorbent regenerating device for dehumidifying equipment using adsorbents to perform energy saving in a regenerating process.
CONSTITUTION: An adsorbent 1, a heating source 2 installed on the upstream side of the adsorbent 1, a heat exchanger 3 incorporated into the adsorbent 1, a fan 4 to deliver air to the adsorbent 1, and an air duct 5 enclosing them are provided. When an adsorbent regenerating device thus constituted enters the regeneration process, the heating source 2 is operated. The heating source 2 makes air delivered by the fan 3 hot air to transfer heat to the heat exchanger 3 which uniformly heats the whole adsorbent 1. On the other hand, the adsorbent 1 near the heating source 2 is heated by receiving radiation heat from the heating source 2. By heating of the adsorbent 1 by the hot air and the radiation heat, the adsorbent 1 is uniformly heated, causing the moisture in the adsorbent 1 to be uniformly removed from the adsorbent 1. Thus, regeneration efficiency is increased and energy saving in the regeneration process is performed.
