Abstract:

To provide zeolite having a moisture re-adsorbing capacity at room temperature as large as the conventional zeolite, and small adsorbing capacity at a relatively low regeneration temperature of 150°C or below so-called with a large effective adsorbing capacity, and application equipment such as a heat pump system or a moisture adsorbing/desorbing system using it.

This adsorbing agent comprising zeolite for a heat pump, has a moisture adsorbing capacity of 28 wt.% or more at 25°C, 5 Torr of steam partial pressure, and a difference between it and that at 100°C, 15 Torr of steam partial pressure is 15-25 Wt.%. The adsorbing agent is produced by ion-exchanging exchangeable cations in zeolite, then heating it in air or nitrogen flow or in the presence of steam. The adsorbing agent is used for a zeolite-water-based heat pump system and an open cycle moisture adsorbing/desorbing system.
