Title:
ADSORBING TAPE OF URANIUM IN SEA WATER AND COLLECTING APPARATUS FOR URANIUM IN SEA WATER USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5691839
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To collect uranium in sea water efficiently by simple means by a method wherein an uranium adsorbing substance such as a titanic acid particle is laminated on a flexible striplike sheet material and the obtained laminate is immersed in sea water in such a manner that one end thereof is attached to a float and the other end thereof to a rope.

CONSTITUTION: On a surface of the flexible striplike sheet material 4 formed from a fiber substance or a synthetic substance, the sea water uranium adsorbing substance 6 is adhered and laminated to fabricate the sea water uranium adsorbing tape 7. As the sea water uranium adsorbing substance 6, the titanic acid particle or a macrocyclic hexaketone can be used. Each rope attachment parts 8 of plural sea water uranium adsorbing tapes 7 are tied to the rope 12 hung down into sea water of which each upper ends are connected to plural floats 10 connected to the rope 9 and each lower ends are attached with weights 11 to constitute the sea water uranium collecting apparatus. The tapes 7 are stirred due to change of sea water and adsorbs uranium in sea water.
