To provide an adsorption agent with use of a binder, capable of increasing the amount of carbon dioxide adsorbed, and a production method thereof.SOLUTION: An aspect of the present invention relates to a production method of an adsorption agent used for separating carbon dioxide from a carbon dioxide-containing gas to be processed for removal. The production method includes a step of firing a mixture containing cerium oxide and a binder containing titanium oxide so as to obtain the adsorption agent.SELECTED DRAWING: None
