Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an adsorption refrigerator further compact while holding a requisite cooling capacity.SOLUTION: The adsorption refrigerator in accordance with one embodiment comprises: a frame body having a storage space formed inside; thin plates adhered to both front and rear surfaces of the frame body and tightly sealing the storing space; absorbent stored in a first region of the storing space; heat exchanging media stored in a second region of the storing space and non-organic porous material having air permeability and holding the heat exchanging media; a first passage in contact with an outer surface of the thin plate at the first region side and capable of selectively passing either hot water or cooling water; a second passage in contact with an outer side surface of the thin plate at the second region side and capable of selectively passing either water to be cooled and cooling water. The thin plates comprise a cooling unit that can be curved until it can come in contact with the adsorbent and the porous material due to pressure difference between the storing space formed by decompression of the storage space and the surrounding atmosphere; a first piping system for passing either the hot water or the cooling water to the first passage; and a second piping system for passing both the water to be cooled and the cooling water to the second passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
