Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide advance loading circuits which are arranged inside respective neuron circuits and loads the respective kinds of components of an input vector only to a prescribed null state neuron circuit in a recognition phase as the respective kinds of components of the prototype vector being accessory to the prescribed null state neuron circuit in a neural network constituted of plural neuron circuits which are under usage or in the null state.
SOLUTION: The advance loading circuit is composed of a weight memory controlled by a memory control signal and a circuit for generating the memory control signal and identifying the prescribed null state neuron circuit. In the recognition phase, the memory control signal of only the prescribed null state neuron circuit is set to be active. When the neural network is constituted as one linkage consisting of the plural neuron circuits, the prescribed null state neuron circuit is adopted as the first null state neuron circuit in the linkage.
