Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) cartridge for an energy meter which enables more advanced energy monitoring including a bidirectional communication protocol.SOLUTION: An advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) cartridge comprises: an AMI cartridge casing including an internal area 48; and an AMI module system 66 carried in the internal area 48 of the AMI cartridge casing. The AMI module system 66 includes: an AMI module 70; and an energy meter interface 52 configured and disposed to detachably connect to an energy meter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
