The advertisement interval detector 10 comprises: a caption interval obtaining part 12 for obtaining a caption interval including a caption generated by caption data based on a temporal position of the caption data; a non-caption interval obtaining part 13 for obtaining a pattern of a non-caption interval not including the caption based on the caption interval; a storing part 14 for storing a program template which specifies a pattern of the non-caption interval model including a peripheral interval model; a specifying part 15 for comparing the pattern of the non-caption interval with the pattern of the non-caption interval model to specify the non-caption interval corresponding to the non-caption interval model; and a detecting part 16 for detecting an interval corresponding to the peripheral interval model as a peripheral interval from among the non-caption intervals corresponding to the non-caption interval model.
