To provide highly convenient advertisement medium to a consumer.

An IC memory is mounted on the advertisement medium and the identifier of a merchandise is stored in the IC memory. A user reads the merchandise identifier from a portable information unit terminal and transmits the information to a service provider. The provider transmits detailed information of the merchandise to the terminal, as a result.
