Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of an aeration system since the aeration system consumes great electric power for long-time operation of an aerator.SOLUTION: An aeration system for use in biological treatment of raw water is provided that comprises: an aerator aerating the raw water; and regeneration means regenerating energy generated in the aerator as electric power. The aeration system can reduce power consumption of the aeration system by regenerating electric power using inertial forces acting on impeller of the aerator when the operation of the aerator is stopped or decreased.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
