PURPOSE: To smoothly attain an operation by optimizing the length and frictional resistance of a fiction plate at the upper part of a carriage at the time of braking or accelerating a carriage moving on a transfer rail in a terminal according to the impact-contact of a series of driven friction steel wheels.
CONSTITUTION: An aerial cable transferring device for chair lift is provided with a carriage 10 to be moved along a transfer rail 12 when gripping by the grip of an aerial cable is released substitutively for an aerial cable in each terminal, and a chair 11 is vertically supported by the carriage 10. The carriage 10 is provided with a friction plate 14 whose upper face is formed as a friction face, and a series of driven friction steel wheels 13 are brought into impact- contact on the friction plate 14 so that the carriage 10 can be braked or accelerated. In this case, the length of the friction plate 14 is set as length L which is larger than an interval D between the two adjacent friction steel wheels 13, and the friction resistances of the front half and rear half in the longitudinal direction of the friction face are set so as to be made different.
