To provide an aerial extension ladder vehicle for fire-fighting of which the vehicle overall length does not become so long even when the stretchable ladder is extended to a length for turning the basket-supporting mechanism, and which can easily operate the stretchable ladder even in a narrow place.
A length from the uppermost stage to the distal end of the second movable ladder is formed to be shorter by a specified length N than a length to the distal end of a plurality of other movable ladders which continue as lower stages. When being housed, the movable ladders are housed in a fixed ladder in such a manner that the turning shaft of the basket-supporting mechanism may be located at a position retracted by approximately the same length L from the distal end location of a plurality of other movable ladders. Then, when a protruding length of all movable ladders becomes (L-N)×M by stretching M pieces of the movable ladders from the second stage to the uppermost stage, the uppermost stage movable ladder is stretched to a location wherein the turning shaft of the basket-supporting mechanism protrudes more than the length from the uppermost stage to distal end of the second movable ladder, and thus, the basket-supporting mechanism can be turned by the turning shaft as the constitution of the aerial extension ladder vehicle for fire-fighting.
