Abstract:

To provide aerogel having an excellent new structure as a host material, especially as an excellent carrier for a catalytic activity phase, etc., and a method for producing the same.

This organic aerogel has 200-2,000 m2/g surface area, 0.001-1 μm pore diameter and 0.01-2.0 g/cm3 density, and also has a curved plane-formed molecular surface consisting of 6-membered rings and 5-membered carbon rings.
