The characteristic of this aerosol type foamy oxidation hair dye composition comprises a stock solution for the oxidation hair dye containing (A) 0.01-3wt.% higher alcohol, (B) 0.1-10wt.% nonionic surfactant, (C) 0.5-10wt.% solvent and (D) 72-95wt.% water at (97:3) to (93:7) weight ratio of the stock solution of the oxidation hair dye to a propellant in the aerosol type oxidation hair dye containing the oxidation hair dye.
